The Journey Begins

Thanks for joining me! This website was created with one purpose: to share resources that I’ve made over the years for teaching Astronomy. The resources were made having the GCSE Astronomy course for the Edexcel exam board in the United Kingdom in mind, but can be adapted and used for other curricula in introductory astronomy. This effort is made in hopes of helping new teachers in their demanding journey, or perhaps helping non-specialist teachers that wish to pick up the subject. The resources are meant to cover the specification for examinations in 2019 onwards.

When I was new to teaching in the UK, I benefited from material made by anonymous teachers that made life a little bit easier, which saved me from working into the small hours of the morning and helped me find my footing in this country.

Benjamin Franklin wrote in his autobiography: “… as we enjoy great advantages from the inventions of others, we should be glad of an opportunity to serve others by any invention of ours; and this we should do freely and generously.” [ref.]

So, enjoy teaching about this wonderful Universe ! (and if you spot any mistakes, do contact so that they may be amended!)
